Learnings


VR provides an opportunity for new experiences that are fully immersive. Similarly to the Bauhaus theater, VR can act as a method to explore the relationship of moving bodies and space. It involves the combination of different elements such as motion, sound, light and position to create an inviting environment where bodies can fully explore the space. Although we took into consideration many aesthetic design choices, the players add a new layer of complexity in the performance that can only be experienced when they’re fully immersed in the environment. Sound interaction plays a huge role in our project since it provides a new way of communication and collaboration between players. 

We started off with having very ambitious ideas and features in our game, however as time went on and we began developing the different assets and implementing them into VR, we had to scale down our ideas to make them work by the project deadline. Our team communicated on Discord, where we were able to share progress updates with each other, schedule meetings, and make notes, etc. The journey of creating a VR with no knowledge or practice was very interesting and something that we all enjoyed.
